The 5th Wave - *Movie

The 5th Wave - Rick Yancey

So I finally went to see The 5th Wave yesterday. It was good-I enjoyed it. My son absolutely loved it but he hasn't read the book so he wasn't comparing the two like I was. : ) I really just liked seeing the book come to life. I also thought the theatrics were pretty good. The movie did stay pretty true to the book. The downside though- even though the movie was close to 2 hours long, there was a whole lot of stuff missing from the movie that was in the book. I understand they're under time constraints but I prefer the full picture you get from the book. If you like action though and you're looking to kill an afternoon, I'd say it's worth the price of the tickets.
