So The Haunting of Maddy Clare, St. James' first book, is still my most favorite of hers but this one was good too. Maddy Clare was just a lot more creepier I thought, which I like. The more creepier it is, the more I like it and Maddy was one hell of a ghost.
This story though focused on the two-hundred year old ghost of Walking John who got is name because he walks at night and haunts the woods in a small coastal town named Blood Moon Bay. An Oxford student named Jillian goes to the town to look into the death of her Uncle Toby, who was a ghost hunter. I'm sure you probably know where this is leading but I don't want to be the one to spoil it. If you like gothic, paranormal stories though, you should definitely check St. James out. She knows how to write a good ghost story!
