Hooked on Books

I dont remember which book but along time ago i listened to an Audio version of one of the books in this series & I didnt really enjoy it so I dnf'd. I think that was more to do with the annoying narrator though. So just recently i decided to read the Vicky Bliss series and i absolutely loved it and I miss it so much I decided to give the Amelia Peabody series another try. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! I still like the Vicky Bliss series better but i did really enjoy this one. The only thing i didnt like was how Amelia always manages to mess up fighting off intruders (for lack of better words) by tripping on skirts, gasping out loud or something equally stupid. That was a little annoying so hopefully she grows a spine in future books. Lol Anyways, i look forward to the next book. Im already planning a trip down the Nile in my own Dahabeeyah! : )
