This audiobook wasn't bad but it just completely lacked originality. If you combine Cinder, The Hunger Games & Red Rising you get Red Queen. I just listened to Cinder not too long ago and I literally felt like I had deja-vu. Of course there aren't any Cyborgs or Lunars but instead you have Reds and Silvers. It's the same exact story about the common girl who finds out she wasn't who she thought she was. Then she meets the future crown prince, who offers her a job and her life changes. She then finds out she has these special abilities she never knew she had and the Silvers have essentially captured her for their use etc. etc. blah, blah, blah. Does that not sound familiar? : ) So anyways, I'm not sure what all of the hype was about but it would definitely not be my first choice for an award. There was absolutely no creative originality here.
